The Best Rides at LEGOLAND Windsor UK + VIDEO

Thinking of heading to LEGOLAND Windsor in the UK and want to know which are the best rides? Read on and check out the videos below to learn about the top rides in LEGOLAND Windsor that you won’t want to miss.

My children simply adore LEGO, so naturally, LEGOLAND is one of our favourite UK theme parks. We have visited a number of times over the last few years. Check out the 2 videos immediately below to see the vlogs from our last visit (which was a gifted press trip) then keep reading to hear which are the top rides and attractions that you will not want to miss. You can even experience the rides for yourself with full ride-walkthrough videos!

Sky Rider

The Sky Rider is an unmissable ride near the entrance to LEGOLAND as you head down the hill. As you’ll see from the video, the Sky Rider gives you an epic view of LEGOLAND, including Mini-Land, the whole world made out of LEGO! It’s a brilliant place to start your LEGOLAND adventure.

Ninjago

Ninjago is a hugely popular ride, so is probably worth using your Q-Bot if you have one. Ninjago is a cross between a ride and a game, where you use your hands to launch virtual missiles at LEGO bad guys. 3D glasses make the whole experience 4D as the car sakes and judders creating an immersive experience. The ride has no height restrictions, other than asking children under 1.3m to be accompanied by an adult.

As you’ll see from the video, my 2-year-old, Zara, was unsure if she wanted to go on the ride as the atmosphere starts to build in the queue, but she loved it.

Haunted House Monster Party

Haunted House Monster Party is new for 2019 and is not to be missed! It’s a ride where the whole room moves in a similar way to a rocking pirate ship, but much slower. The clever thing is that the ceiling also moves, meaning that it feels as though you are going upside down, although in reality, you are not moving that far. This one really has to be experienced to be appreciated, but we were all really impressed.

Pirate Falls: Treasure Quest

There is no “might” about it, on Pirate Falls: Treasure Quest you will get wet. The ride starts as a jolly boat ride around a river where you can see various LEGO created pirate scenes, then ends with an almighty splash as you are dropped down a steep hill into the water. Loads of fun for those over 1m who are permitted to ride.

The Dragon’s Apprentice

The Dragon’s Apprentice is a reasonably gentle coaster for kids that takes 2 trips around the track. Lots of fun and not too scary! Riders must be at least 0.9m.

The Dragon

The Dragon is a much more ferocious rollercoaster that the gentle Dragon’s Apprentice. The ride begins with a slow ride through an indoor castle, where you can witness fantastic LEGO displays of knights, princesses and, of course, dragons. You are then launched into a frantic ride of twists and drops. You must be at least 1m to face the Dragon!

Atlantis Submarine Voyage

This wonderful experience is suitable for all ages. You get on a submarine and explore the reef, seeing a wonderful mix for LEGO Atlantis and real fish and sharks too. The whole trip is narrated by a voice-over character who leads the mission and encourages you to press buttons and save the day. This ride is towards the back of the park, but well worth the walk.
