Everything You Need To Pack For A Disney Cruise

Documents

You will need printed versions of all of your documents. Every email that you receive to do with your trip, print out and pop into a document wallet along with your ID and vaccination records. It may also be helpful to have a digital copy of these documents stored on your phone.

Lanyards

It will be super helpful to have a lanyard when you are on board the ship to carry your key to the world card. This card will enable you to open your stateroom door and charge things to your room, so you will need it with you at all times.

Card Holders

Suitcases

The first thing that you are going to need in order to pack, is something to pack into. We have these gorgeous Disney cases which are also light and easy to manoeuvre.

Hand Luggage

You will need a hand luggage bag when you embark the ship and to carry around your bits and pieces day to day too.

Clothing

I have lots of posts and videos full of Disneybound outfit ideas, but in short you will need;

  • Day wear
  • Evening wear
  • Formal night evening wear
  • Pirate night outfit
  • Customers for under 12s
  • Swim wear x 2 or more
  • Gym wear
  • Pjs
  • Footwear – casual and formal
  • Jacket to spirit jersey for on deck in the evening

Ears

What Disney holiday would be complete without Disney ears?

Autograph Books

Don’t forget those autograph books for magical character meets!

Cameras & Phones

Before your cruise, make sure that you have the means to take plenty of photographs. Check that your phone has the latest version of it’s software and plenty of available memory.

You may also want to take a separate camera too. As I use lots of cameras with additional lenses and equipment for work. I will list what I will be packing for our cruise below, but you probably won’t need half of it. Click the button below if you are interested in a full breakdown of the kit I use for vlogging.

Adapters – USA

You’ll need adapters to convert your UK to USA plugs for charging your devices. Remember that extension cords are not allowed and will be confiscated.

Charging leads

Don’t forget to pack and charger leads for your phones, tablets and other devices.

Portable charging bank

Hair tools

There are hairdryers in the staterooms, but you may wish to take a hair straightener or curling tool.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a cruising must! I like the 8 hour Soltan sunscreen as it offers brilliant protection for long periods.

Toiletries

The staterooms have complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, but you will need to pack;

  • Tooth brushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Make up
  • Cleansers
  • Razors

Medication

  • Pain killers
  • Sea sickness tablets
  • Plasters and first aid bits

Sea Sickness Bands

It might be a good idea to pack some sea sickness bands in case a member of your party is feeling queasy.

Door Magnets

On a Disney Cruise, you are allowed to decorate your stateroom door with magnets.

Magnetic Hooks

Water Bottles

Soft drinks around the ship are included, but it’s a good idea to take a drinks bottle to fill up.

Blankets

You may want a blanket for venturing onto the deck or verandah in the chilly evenings.

Sunglasses

Don’t forget those sunnies!

Gift Card For The Stateroom

If you pack an old gift card, you can avoid having to constantly take your Key To The World card out of your lanyard to put the lights on in your stateroom.

Kids’ Entertainment

Think about packing some things to keep your kids entertained while you are travelling to and waiting in the cruise terminal.

Expandable Bag For Overflow

If you love Disney merch, chances are that you will get off the ship with more than you embarked with. Think about packing an expandable bag to take your merch home with you.
