Headband Curls
This April I have gone back to doing “headband curls”, in which I wind my hair around a headband before going to sleep. Below is a VERY old video (so please excuse the quality) where I explained the headband curls technique. Look out for an updated video coming soon.
Silicone Facial Electric Cleansing Brush
I bought this silicone electric facial cleaning brush in my latest Amazon haul.
I said I’d report back with my thought, so here they are. So far I like it, but I’m glad that I didn’t spend loads on it as I’m not in the habit of using it much. It seems to clean lots of gunk off my skin, although I’m not using it frequently enough to have given it a fair go.
Cleansers

This is the cleanser I have used for a while with a Cheeky Wipe to wash my face in the shower.
Cheeky Wipes

Rose Quartz Roller
I have been loving this rose quartz roller as it’s so relaxing to use.
Faith In Nature Tea Tree Shampoo
As the children are back in school we are back on head lice alert. As nits apparently don’t like tea tree, this is my current favourite shampoo.
Leggings
Fashion wise, I still haven’t got my summer clothes out yet and I’m pretty much living in my favourite leggings.
Clasps
If you’re like me and hate fiddling with necklace clasps, these magnetic clasps will be a game changer.
Home & Organisation
Cleaning Caddy
I’ve been on the lookout for “the perfect” cleaning caddy for a while and I’ve finally found it.
I bought the label for my calming caddy in my latest B&M shop with me and haul.
Chilly Bottles
I have used Chilly bottles for years and they are perfect for keeping water cold at the side of the bed. As my husband and I have a bottle each that pretty mucin live in our bedroom, I was thrilled to find them in colours that match our room.
Foot Pillow
This foot pillow lives under my desk and stops me from crossing my legs and ending up with a bad back.
Kids & Family
Bow Headbands
I am always getting questions about the bow headbands that the girls wear. I recently bought a new pack of 24 colours to replace the ones that had been lost or broken.

Pink Polka Dot Borg Lined Hoodie
The girls’ new hoodies are a firm favourite of theirs this month and they are wearing them almost every day as they play in the garden.
White Dresses
As a huge Sound Of Music fan, I have been on the look out for “white dresses with blue satin sashes” for some time. I finally took matters into my own hands and bought the dresses and sashes separately.
LOL Surprise Collectable Fashion Dolls
Mira
Disney Singalong
Food & Drink
Easter Eggs
My main source of food this month has indeed been Easter eggs.
Bars From Poundland & Home Bargains
Of all of the bars I tried in my Poundland & Home Bargains haul, my favourites remain the strawberry and mint skinny whip bars.
Entertainment
Here are some of the TV shows and books that I have enjoyed in April 2021.
TV
Behind Her Eyes
Tiny Pretty Things
Ginny & Georgia
Once Upon A Time
Music
In The Heights
Anyone else super excited about the upcoming release of “In The Heights”? Also written by Lin Manuel Miranda who wrote and starred in Hamilton. Well, I am and I’ve downloaded the soundtrack in the mean time.
Books
If, like me, you struggle to make enough time to sit down and read, audio books might be the answer. I love popping in a wireless headphone (I use just one at a time so that I can swap them out as they go flat) to listen to an audio book as I walk, cook or clean.
Use the link below to get a 30 day free trial and one free audio book on Audible. The best bit? Even if you decide to cancel, you can keep that free audio book forever.
Home Work – Julie Andrews
As a massive Juile Andrews fan, I have been thoroughly enjoying her audiobook all about her life during her Hollywood years when she made Mary Poppins and The Sound Of Music. Having her read the audiobook has been a real treat.
Handmaid’s Tale
I have loved the 3 seasons of the Handmaid’s Tale and with season 4 about to be released, I thought that it was about time I read the book too. There are lots of differences between the book and the show, but I enjoyed it none the less.
The Audacity to Be Queen: The Unapologetic Art of Dreaming Big and Manifesting Your Most Fabulous Life
This book by Gina DeVe has been inspiring. it’s a little “woo woo”, but really help to call out the BS that us women often have buzzing around our minds and helps us to get out of our own way.
