Welcome to my monthly favourites series! In this series of videos and blog posts I am sharing my monthly favourites in fashion & beauty, home & organisation, kids & family, food & drink & entertainment. Let’s check out my favourite things from March 2021!
Table Of Contents
Fashion & Beauty
Pink Jumper
I am in love with this pink Boden jumper. The cut the colour, the button detail on the sleeve, I adore it all.

Weekend Jumper

I am loving my “weekend” jumper that I picked up in my TU Clothing haul from Sainsbury’s.
Rain Coat
I bought this Boden Mac (well, it was an early Christmas present actually) at the end of last year. I didn’t get loads of wear out of it as lockdown happened (again) meaning no school runs. While we went out for walks, we usually opted for dry days to go.

Since the girls have been back in school, I’ve had plenty of walks in the rain and I’m trilled with this coat. It’s the “run off” fisherman style fabric that I wanted as it doesn’t hold the water, so dries quickly.
Basic Tee

Another Boden favourite of the month, these basic tees are the nicest I have ever found the cut, the fabric, they are just gorgeous.
Hair Towels & Bow Hair Bands
Onto beauty and I’m loving this set of hair drying towels plus bow bands. They are super soft and ideal for drying my long hair and my daughters’ too.

Mascara
You guys know that I wear magnetic lashes, but they need a coat of mascara underneath to cling to. This mascara is fab and would be great even without the magnetic lashes

Lipstick
The lipstick I’m loving at the moment is one I found in my drawer from a couple of years ago. It’s a shimmery pink and it’s gorgeous.
New Favourite Hand Sanitiser
As you’ll know if you’ve seen my back to school prep videos, the easiest and most efficient way to ensure that all of your family members have access to hand sanitiser every time they leave the house is my purchasing large pump bottles of sanitiser and decanting it. I like these small sanitiser bottles that attach to bags with a carabiner.
With that being said, I am currently obsessed with this Carex sanitiser that smells like love hearts.
Home & Organisation
Drawer Organisers

These Home Edit style drawer dividers are an amazing price and so handy for organising your home. I have used them in my home office, my dressing table in my bedroom and the children’s rooms.
Cotton Bud & Pad Box
This cotton bud and pad box is a lovely dressing table upgrade.
Command Hooks For Clipboards
I am obsessed with command hooks! This month I have started using these two types after buying them in my organising the office haul (which you can see below).

I have been using these wire hooks for hanging clipboards in my home office and in the children’s rooms.
Command Hooks For Headphones

These large hooks are the perfect size for having up over ear headphones to store them up off the desk.
Kids & Family
Girls’ Rain Coats
Much like my rain via, the girls’ new raincoats were purchased during lockdown, but they have only recently started wearing them. They are the same “fisherman Mac” style fabric as mine and they love the unicorn and flower print.
Birthday Celebration Tree

I bought this “celebration tree” in Hobbycraft last year. It has been a Halloween tree, a Christmas tree, a Valentine’s tree and in March it’s been a birthday tree for my husband’s birthday.
To decorate the celebration tree, we have used these wooden shapes on strings, deco pens and a variety of glittery foam shapes.
Duplo
One toy that my kids have been loving this month is Duplo. Although they are all technically “too old” for Duplo, we have lots of little Disney & Peppa Pig Duplo characters that they have enjoyed building houses for and playing with.
Disney “Barbie” Mum & Toddler Dolls
Having discovered videos on YouTube where Elsa and Anna “mums” and their daughters “Elsia & Annie” play, my girls have a new found interest in their Barbie style dolls. They spend ours dressing and undressing them lately, which I’m going to say it fab for their fine motor skills as it’s a pretty fiddly job!
Food & Drink
Fry’s Bars
I am obsessed with the Fry’s chocolate bars, specifically the orange and raspberry flavours that the moment.
Skinny Whip
I recently discovered these skinny whip bars. They are delicious and remind em of bars that I used to buy in Boots as part of their meal deal.
Entertainment
TV
Firefly Lane
Firefly lane is a heart warming story of two best friends. It skips back and forth in time and shows them as kids, teens, in their twenties and in their late thirties / early forties. It stars Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy) and Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) and I adored it. Firefly Lane can be found on Netflix. Bring on season 2!
Tudor Period Series
I have been loving Tudor period drama series lately. They are not technically part of “one series” and were made by different production companies, but it’s still best to watch them in the “correct” historical order (unlike I did).
So if you fancy gibing these series a go (and I seriously suggest that you do), this is the order that you should watch them in.
The White Queen
The White Queen tells the tale of Elizabeth Woodville who marries King Edward Of York who has recently won a war to take the throne.
The White Princess
The White Princess is about Elizabeth & Edward’s daughter Lizzie who marries King Henry VII (a Tudor) to unite the houses of Tudor and York in an attempt to settle the war of the roses.
The Spanish Princess
The Spanish Princess is about Catherine of Aragon as she marries Arthur (son of Henry VII & Lizze) before becoming the first wife of their other son, Henry VIII.
The Tudors
The Tudors picks up around the time that the Spanish Princess ends, where Henry VIII & Catherine Of Aragon’s marriage is coming to an end and he falls for Anne Boleyn. There are multiple series of the Tudors which take you up to King Henry VIII’s death.
Reign
Reign tells the story of Mary Queen Of Scots (whose claim the the throne I understood having watched the White Queen). Mary marries Francis (of France) and has a rivalry with her cousin, Elizabeth I (Henry & Anne Boleyn’s daughter).

Books
Bridgerton
I adored Bridgeton the series on Netflix, so now I am working my way through the book. It’s took me some time to finish as I only read a few pages a night, but I am loved the novel.

Hold On But Don’t Hold Still
Audible
If, like me, you struggle to make enough time to sit down and read, audio books might be the answer. I love popping in a wireless headphone (I use just one at a time so that I can swap them out as they go flat) to listen to an audio book as I walk, cook or clean.
Use the link below to get a 30 day free trial and one free audio book on Audible. The best bit? Even if you decide to cancel, you can keep that free audio book forever.
