Theme Park Fun: Letting The Cards Decide Our Day

One of the most fun things we did this time was play a ‘This or That’ ride challenge using cards I made specially for our day in the park. The kids loved letting the cards decide which ride we were going on next — it really added a sense of spontaneity and excitement to the day.

Ride Access Pass At Alton Towers

If you’re visiting Alton Towers with children (or adults) who have additional needs, the Ride Access Pass is something you’ll definitely want to look into. It’s designed to help guests who may struggle with the standard queueing system, including those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or mobility challenges. We’ve used it during our visits and it’s made a huge difference to our experience. There is a bit of admin involved to apply ahead of time, but it’s well worth doing so your day runs more smoothly.

Staying On-Site: Splash Landings Hotel Review

We stayed at Splash Landings Hotel, which is directly connected to the waterpark and beautifully themed throughout. It was so convenient being right on resort and the theming really made the whole trip feel extra special for the children.

Behind-The-Scenes at the Alton Towers Waterpark

One of the biggest highlights was getting exclusive filming permission for a behind-the-scenes look inside the Alton Towers Waterpark — something that’s normally not allowed. I take you on a full tour, including the Master Blaster slide and the layout inside.
